Van Hoosen Farm hosts the Stony Creek railroad club

Winter is great for a lot of things. Skiing, hot chocolate and.... model trains. Doing a photo album as a freelancer for the Oakland Press, The historic Van Hoosen Farm hosts the Stony Creek railroad club. Ferndale Ice Festival is an annual Event

I have shot this festival numerous times. This time, was easily the warmest I have ever seen the festival.  At nearly 40 degrees, the ice carvings were starting to pool with water and the urban sleigh ride was pulled by a tractor.
